How I Became Your Secret Weapon to Planning a Trip to Vietnam
It all started when I landed in Vietnam for the very first time in 2015
The moment I stepped onto the streets of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, it struck a chord in me like never before. The city was alive, filled with an energy that was both overwhelming and inviting. It was unlike any other place I had traveled to – there was an immediate sense of belonging that I couldn’t shake off. It’s the kind of cliché you hear about but seldom experience: a deep, immediate connection to a place.
That first week experiencing life in Vietnam was telling. From the food to the landscapes to the gritty charm that the country exuded – I was hooked. I went back to (my then home) of Seoul, South Korea with thoughts of Vietnam on a repeating loop in my head.
So in 2017, I waved goodbye to Korea and moved my life to Hanoi.
Fast forward several years, and I have explored every corner of this country – from the frontiers way up north near the China border, to the islands way down south (and everything in between).
It didn’t take me long to see that Vietnam is one of the most incredible countries in the world. I loved everything about it, and my life became exponentially better by calling this country home.
Before I knew it, planning trips, giving people advice, and discovering hidden gems in Vietnam was taking over my thoughts. And I soon learned that my real superpower was helping people plan epic trips to this Southeast Asian country.
