Da Nang Shoulder Season: June to August marks the shoulder season in Da Nang. This time can provide a balance with warm weather, occasional rain, and fewer tourists compared to the peak season. Temperatures usually range from 28°C to 34°C, allowing for enjoyable beach days and outdoor activities.

What’s the Closest Airport to Da Nang?
The closest airport to Da Nang is Da Nang International Airport (DAD).
Da Nang International Airport is very close to the city center, about 2 to 4 kilometers away, depending on your exact destination within the city.
It is so convenient getting from the airport to your Da Nang Hotel, typically around a 10 to 15-minute drive under normal traffic conditions.
Transport options to and from the airport include taxis, buses, and private car services. A taxi is easy to get right outside of the airport and should cost no more than 200,000VND.
What’s the Best Way to Get to Your Da Nang Hotel?
The easiest, safest, and most convenient way to get to your hotel is to book a private transfer ahead of time. They will be waiting for you are the airport exit. If reserving ahead of time makes the most sense for you, here are some options:
Taxis are always available at the airport and a ride to your hotel should not cost more than 200,000 VND (and that is pricey).
Using the Grab App is also very easy at the airport. The Grab driver will typically wait in the parking lot across from arrivals, and when they accept your ride, they often come out to find you and bring you to their car. This is normal. This is always my go-to method. I find using Grab to be safe and comfortable.
Where to Stay in Da Nang?
When visiting Da Nang, you basically have two options – Beach Side or City Side.
BEACH SIDE
This area of Da Nang is where you stay if you want to be as close to the beach as possible. The beaches of My Khe Beach, My An Beach, and Non Nuoc Beach are the most popular areas to choose from. You have plenty of options from luxury resorts to budget-friendly hotels.

CITY SIDE
Choose this area of Da Nang if you want to be close to shopping, dining, and entertainment options, as well as views of the Han river. Staying here allows easy access to Da Nang’s famous bridges, and is convenient for exploring the city’s cultural and historical sites. Top Hotels in the City
SON TRA PENINSULA
There is another area that travelers choose to stay and that is the Son Tra Peninsula. This area of Da Nang is more isolated and a bit farther away from the city center. The main draw of the Son Tra Peninsula is the lush forest that is a protected nature reserve. There are incredibly beautiful views and beaches in this area, but really your only option for a hotel is the Intercontinental Sun Peninsula (my favorite hotel in all of Vietnam).
